The Clay County Dental Society formed Clay County Dental Care, Inc., a non-profit 501c corporation to address the access to care concern. To provide dental care to indigent citizens of clay county, Florida, on behalf of the clay county health department at no charge or at a minimum charge. The goals and objectives include: increase access to dental care for uninsured, low-income men, women and children of clay county; provide emergency dental services to the target population; provide basic dental services such as cleanings and fillings to the target populationthe clinic will be an all-volunteer clinic run in conjunction with the clay county health department. All patients will be screened in order to qualify for treatment. The initial focus will be on school-aged children with an emphasis on emergency treatment and preventative education.
