If you need dental care, but you dont have dental insurance, you may be eligible to receive dental care at the Free Clinic. They believe that everyone should have access to high-quality dental care. They provide free acute dental care for adults by appointment only on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Acute dental care is limited primarily to dental extractions. They provide free basic dental services for adults by appointment only from June through March. Basic dental care is provided by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and Howard University fourth-year dental students under the supervision of volunteer local dentists. Basic dental care includes: restoration (fillings) extractions x-rays and examination They also provide dental hygiene services for adults by appointment only from August through March. Dental hygiene services are provided by provided by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) dental hygiene students under the supervision of volunteer local dentists. They currently have an extensive waiting list for other dental services including root canals and crowns. These services are provided only when specific grant funding is available, typically once per year. They do not provide sedation (local anesthesia only), complex root canals, gum disease treatment, bridges, dentures or braces. Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 am - 7:00 pm. Closed everyday between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
